A stand-on scrubber with a 20 inch disc deck. The operator stands on a platform at the rear rather than walking behind, which gives a much shorter machine than a seated rider of the same capacity and lets it work aisles and back-of-house areas a rider cannot enter.
The 12 gallon solution tank and low flow rate give up to 75 minutes of scrub time without refilling, and down pressure on the pad can be raised to 75 pounds for problem areas.
This configuration: 208 Ah wet lead-acid batteries with onboard charger and pad holder, all included. This is the highest-capacity battery offered on the SA40 and gives the longest runtime in the range, at the cost of needing to be topped up with distilled water on a schedule. The maintenance-free alternative is part 56104486.
Batteries are included. Some distributor listings show this part with an -NB suffix and describe it as supplied without batteries. Clarke's specification sheet L3441C lists 56104484 with 208 Ah wet batteries included, and Clarke publishes no -NB reference for the SA40 at all. If you are quoted a battery-free SA40, ask for the exact part number before ordering.
