Self-contained means it sprays, agitates and recovers in one pass, so the operator walks the machine over the carpet and the floor comes up clean behind it.
Eighteen inches and a 10 gallon solution tank make this the machine for volume work: hotel corridors, conference floors, large open offices, anywhere the run is long enough that refilling and emptying is the real constraint. In furnished or divided spaces the 16 inch EX40 16ST (part 56265504) is easier to work with.
